Writing workshop syllabus

Here is your student-syllabus. In your syllabus you can read about the focus of this course this semester. There is also a weekly schedule for Advanced writing students, explaining what we will be doing week by week,  listing the writing guidelines aligned to the Language Department’s guidelines and the correction code for hard copy papers. Online papers will receive corrections and feedback right on your draft within a turn around of two days and hard copy drafts will receive feedback on a weekly basis in class. If you have any questions, please write them in the comments area so I can help you answer them.

You will be making a huge jump from writing for basic interpersonal communication needs to academic writing during the semester. If you would like to find out more about these different ways of writing, you can read here about BICS and CALPS

Here is a Learning Team Charter for upcoming teamwork. Please save it in your files.

It is recommended that you create a file on your desktop for your work in this class where you can download and store what you write, read, learn and share.
